Its What I had felt exactly 12 days after the Iraq War!!

The War

In a city that never sleeps
A son has died and a mother weeps
In a war where so many die
No answers given to cries of why
In an ocean of blood and tears
We are drowning in our own fears
The seed of hatred is already sown
But the flower of forgiveness hasn’t grown
In a world made of black and white
The darkness slowly engulfs the light
In the cold of the winter season
We all lost our sense of reason
In a world which is full of hate
And destinies snatched through the hands of fate
And now it moves to the summer heat
And history is all set to repeat
The cradle of culture is in ruins again
The smile on a child’s face replaced by pain
Like we sow, so shall we reap
The dead shall rise from graves, no matter how deep
Is religion greater than kith and kin?
And equality be based on the colour of your skin?
Hope and history shall never rhyme
And the future shall reveal each crime
